ABOUT US
Enriching the lives of the Ethiopian Diaspora and youth through culture, music, food, sports and education.
Using entertainment and sports as a mechanism to engage the youth, we have been able to tie in our cultural heritage and the importance of community. Our approach creates an environment that fosters trust and a family atmosphere which enable the youth to be receptive to educational support. The diversity of our leadership and staff has aided our ability to create programs and events that have had a great impact on our community. Many students have participated as youth and later become a part of the staff to give back to an organization that in their words has “given them so much.”

Our ETHIOKIDZ afterschool and summer program provides K-12 students with ELA and math tutoring and African cultural enrichment activities. We provide small working groups to support students in navigating their schooling and learning experience.

Our CULTURAL and COMMUNITY programs are reflective of our community needs. We provide Ethiopian cultural celebrations for Ethiopians and our neighbors. We offer mentoring programs to youth and college connectedness programs for first-generation students. We aim to keep the elders and youth connected in meaningful intergenerational programming.
OUR PROGRAMS

SPORTS
Our SPORTS programs are designed to help youth engage in nurturing activities to assist their self-confidence and community connections. The ultimate goal is to leverage organized sports such as soccer and running to help mentor and guide these young people.
DANCE
Our dance program offers classes for students ages ten months–18 years. Our teaching philosophy aims to teach to the whole dancer; develop emotional, social, and physical well-being to become fully empowered individuals. Our dance teachers incorporate their diverse backgrounds to lead students in Eskista-traditional Ethiopian Amhara dance, Soca, hip hop, and more. As a team, students actively explore creativity through dance while building strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence.

MENTORING
We offer one-to-one or small group matching program between youth and an adult in the Ethiopian community. Mentor teach our youth about their Ethiopian culture and become confident in their identities
